What you need to know…

Knowledge, experience and understanding are the keys to being successful in most of life’s endeavors. Operating a sound system is certainly no exception.

Our course focuses on both practical and theoretical elements...

Our comprehensive, four hour session goes way beyond the typical “this-knob-does-that” approach to system training.  Also included are a brief explanation of sound propagation and a generalized discussion of acoustics and psychoacoustics.  This may sound like pretty technical stuff, and indeed it is, but we discuss these items plainly, in easy to understand terms and examples to help you realize what really happens in your place of worship when the system is operating.

We help you understand the performance of your system…

We also discuss different approaches to system design and speaker placement, and outline the advantages of one over another in different environments and performance scenarios.

Basics of System Operation…

The final segment of our training is a discussion of the mechanics and operation of a sound system.  We describe the various components in a system and teach how to achieve optimum gain before feedback, while maintaining clear articulate sound. There is a discussion on microphone selection and placement techniques for various instruments and situations. We will talk about various signal processing and recording techniques to help you produce clear and consistent recordings.

Coming soon to a fellowship hall near you…

Our classes are held in local fellowship halls and run from 8:00AM till noon on Saturday mornings.  Each participant receives a manual describing the various components of an audio system, and a personalized certificate upon completion of the course.  Call us for upcoming dates and locations. Substantial discounts are offered to Churches who wish to host a training. Please call or email us if you are interested in hosting a training at your church.

We also offer training on your system…

In addition to our regular training courses, we are available for training sessions at your church.  These sessions are specific to your system configuration and address the questions and concerns of your operators.  Many customers choose this option as a supplement to the regular training course as it helps bring the theoretical elements they learned into practical application.
